I’m not sure what exactly it is that makes us ladies go star crazy when it comes to weddings but it’s likely one of the few occasions where weeks of outfit planning and obsessing over accessories is more than acceptable. I just adore the whole extravagance of it all and that little push it gives everyone to step out of their comfort zones and have some fun with style. However, the task of finding that perfect outfit can sometimes be harder than it looks. I started my own hunt just a couple of weeks ago and was amazed by the choice and variety my little town of Killarney had to offer.
My first outfit is from Kerry’s Boutique on Plunkett street. I think this Verso two-piece suit is exceptionally striking and I love the contrast between its understated style and its electrifying colour. Its elegant lace detailing and smart look is a winner for me.
This next outfit from Miss Darcy’s Boutique caught my eye the minute I walked into the shop – it’s true what they saw about love at first sight; me and this shapely showstopper were meant to be. Created by rising American brand and celebrity favourite, Stop Staring, this vintage inspired formal dress is a star buy and you really can’t go wrong with anything rose coloured this season.

My last ensemble is from New Look and is available at a steal of a price. I always think if you’re fortunate enough to find an outfit for under 50 euro, it’s a fantastic excuse to be a bit naughty and spend that little bit more on some statement accessories. I’ve chosen this pretty headpiece by local designer Cathy Troth to bring the outfit full circle and a pyramid handbag by another Irish Designer Ana Faye.
I hope this piece has managed to inspire all you wedding goers and hopefully make you feel a little less panicked by the prospect of picking up that perfect outfit. Happy hunting!
