I popped into local boutique MacBees a couple of weeks ago to help them celebrate #FIDay (aka Fashion Independents’ Day) in association with Frockadvisor; the new shopping app launched by Ireland’s favourite fashion duo Sonya Lennon & Brendan Courtney.
The Frockadvisor team led by some of Ireland’s favourite fashion influencers have been busy whipping the country into a frenzy for the past few weeks by driving the initiative to celebrate our nation’s independent retailers. MacBees have been working with the shopping app from their inception to help them develop and streamline the now growing e-commerce platform.
MacBees celebrated the day with plenty of champagne and tasty treats for their shoppers as well as a range of great local prizes including a voucher for Sara Jayne Lingerie and one of Killarney’s most popular eateries, DYNE.
As well as soaking up the style, I took the opportunity to try on some of the boutique’s most recent arrivals including this stunning dress by new Italian Fashion Designer, Sara Roka – a brand exclusive to MacBees.
I just adore the print on this one and its sophisticated style makes it the perfect option for any glam occasion this season.I’m pictured here with customer Elma Collins, also wearing a dress from the same brand.
I was overwhelmed by the amount of choice and variety of occasion wear on offer but I have to admit I got a bit sidelined when I spotted one of my favourite brands Three Floor. This brand was only launched in 2011 but has already been worn by famous fashionistas Kendall Jenner, Ellie Goulding & Taylor Swift to name a few. I adore their unique designs and they are an amazing choice if you are looking for that ‘wow’ dress this season. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get pictures that would do this collection the justice it deserves, so I advise popping instore to see these beautiful pieces yourself.
Before I sign off, I’d like to thank the staff in Macbees for welcoming me to share in their special day. I genuinely love to support local fashion, plus all the beautiful colours and designs have got me seriously in the mood for some Summer Style – just some more reasons to shop local this season.
