Overview

Killarney Jaunting Cars is a traditional, family-run Irish experience based in Killarney, operated by the 4th and 5th generations of the Tangney family. The business offers jaunting car tours through Killarney National Park, pony-and-trap journeys to the Gap of Dunloe, lake and boat tours, whiskey tastings, and authentic Irish food experiences.

In 2024, the business identified the need to modernise its digital presence by increasing engagement through video content and launching a new customer-focused website.

Challenges

The key challenge was developing the full creative direction for the brand. This included producing brand and promotional videos that captured family heritage, horse care and the overall experience, while also designing a new website with clear, engaging content. All assets needed to feel timeless while supporting ongoing marketing efforts.

Approach

A storytelling-led approach was used, combining brand-focused videos with the Tangney family front and centre and experience-led promotional content using models that represented a diverse cross section of the brand’s target market. The website was designed alongside the content creation process, using strong visuals, clear navigation and concise copy to improve the customer journey.

Results & Conclusion

The project delivered a cohesive set of high-quality brand assets and a refreshed website that clearly showcased the business’s offerings. The updated digital presence strengthened brand storytelling, improved customer engagement, and successfully balanced heritage with modern tourism marketing.

Overview

Isles of Aran is an Aran knitwear brand with both an online presence and a physical footprint on the Aran Islands. In 2023, I was tasked with building the brand from the ground up—creating a contemporary identity with global appeal while remaining rooted in the culture, heritage and craft of the islands.

Challenges

The challenge was to develop a premium brand identity that honoured the history and craftsmanship of Aran knitwear while also differentiating it from our Aran knitwear brands in an already saturated market. Isles of Aran needed to educate a global audience, excite new customers through storytelling and design and balance local authenticity with international relevance across all touchpoints.

Approach

I began by establishing a strong foundation for its identity through research, defining the brand positioning, naming, tone of voice and overall design direction. From there, I developed a cohesive creative framework to bring the brand to life visually and narratively.

Working closely with a talented team, I devised and directed the creative for a suite of launch assets, including the hero brand film, supporting video content and stills, overseeing production from concept through delivery. I also led the visual direction for the e-commerce website and shaped the social media content strategy to ensure consistency across the brand’s digital presence.

Results

The launch successfully established Isles of Aran as a credible, authentic premium brand within the knitwear market. The project created a strong proof of concept and a solid foundation for future growth both online and on the Aran Islands.

Conclusion

This project was an opportunity to build a brand that honours tradition while looking confidently toward the future. By grounding Isles of Aran in authentic storytelling, strong visual identity, and a clear premium positioning, the brand was launched with purpose and credibility. The result is a brand that not only celebrates the Aran Islands and their craftsmanship but also connects meaningfully with a global audience.

Overview

Catriona Kennedy is a Life Coach with ambitions to build a comprehensive life coaching service business. She also aims to expand her offerings in the future, leveraging her qualification in neuroscience to enhance her coaching practice.

Challenges

The challenge was to build a completely new brand identity from scratch that would both showcase Catriona’s expertise and secure her coaching work, while clearly communicating who she is and the professional direction she is heading. The goal was to create a cohesive, authentic brand that resonated with her target audience and reflected her vision for growth.  

Approach

I began by conducting a brand workshop with the client to define the essence of Your Life Audit and establish a clear brand narrative.

Using insights from the workshop, I created a Brand Booklet encompassing the brand narrative, including its Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values, as well as Brand Advertising Slogans and Promise. A Brand Moodboard was also developed to visually communicate the brand’s ethos and aesthetic direction.

With a clear understanding of the brand narrative, I collaborated on the development of a new Brand Identity, ensuring alignment with the brand’s values and messaging. Brand Guidelines were established to maintain consistency across all brand touchpoints.

In addition to brand identity development and social media management, I also conducted the copywriting and project management of Your Life Audit’s brand website. By crafting compelling copy and overseeing the website development process, I ensured that the online presence accurately reflected the brand’s values and offerings.

Results

The comprehensive branding and social media efforts, coupled with the development of a brand website, resulted in a significant increase in brand awareness and engagement for Your Life Audit. The cohesive brand narrative and visual identity effectively communicated the brand’s mission and values, resonating with its target audience.

The implementation of a strategic social media strategy resulted in heightened engagement and interaction with followers, further establishing Your Life Audit as a trusted resource for personal and professional development.

Challenges

Kerry Woollen Mills sought to rejuvenate their brand image and showcase their core collection of sweaters, cardigans, coats, and accessories to a modern audience. Additionally, they aimed to expand their market reach through e-commerce while maintaining the essence of their rich heritage.

Approach

As a creative partner, I collaborated closely with Kerry Woollen Mills to breathe new life into their product offerings while ensuring it stayed connected to its roots, emphasising its role as a guardian of tradition in a modern world.

For the core collection promotion, I developed a creative concept rooted in the picturesque landscapes of South-West Kerry, crafting compelling visuals and narratives that seamlessly integrated the colourful and sustainable fibres of Kerry Woollen Mills with the breathtaking scenery of Valentia Island, evoking a sense of discovery and authenticity.

In addition to the core collection, we extended our partnership to elevate Kerry Woollen Mills’ home and lifestyle products. Through a cosy country cottage homeware shoot, we highlighted the practical yet luxurious nature of their offerings, resonating with modern consumers seeking comfort and style.

Achievements

The collaborative efforts yielded remarkable results for Kerry Woollen Mills. By infusing their brand with a fresh perspective while staying true to their heritage, the brand was positioned to successfully attract new customers while retaining loyal patrons. The creative representation of their products was also successfully achieved across in-store point of sales and e-commerce platforms also.

Moreover, the brand’s identity as a natural and practical product with modern relevance was effectively communicated, positioning Kerry Woollen Mills as a timeless yet contemporary choice for discerning consumers.

Conclusion

Through innovative storytelling and strategic visual communication, Kerry Woollen Mills’ legacy was brought to life, ensuring its continued success in an ever-evolving market landscape.

Sean Taaffe Hair and Beauty is a well-established brand in Co. Kerry, renowned for its quality hair and beauty services across three salons. In 2023, brand founder Sean Taaffe approached me to assist with the launch of Sean Taaffe Professional, a new leave-in conditioner range destined for nationwide retail.

Challenges

The challenge was to develop a creative concept that reflected the natural ingredients and ethos of the new product, while aligning with the brand’s established reputation for excellence in hair and beauty services. The goal was to create a visual identity that conveyed the product’s organic nature and its roots in natural beauty.

Approach

Drawing inspiration from the brand’s ethos—”we believe in beautiful hair”—the creative direction focused on celebrating the freedom and simplicity that comes with beautiful hair. It emphasized a carefree vibe, inspired by the beauty of nature.

To showcase the product’s organic roots, we incorporated elements of light and shade throughout the creative journey, mirroring the flora and fauna of the natural world. The visual language played with natural textures and hues, creating a narrative that resonated with the product’s natural ingredients and ethos.

Results

The collaborative efforts resulted in a creative concept that successfully captured the essence of Sean Taaffe’s Professional Range. The organic and natural visual feel aligned perfectly with the product’s ingredients and ethos, resonating with consumers seeking natural beauty solutions.

The launch of the new product was met with enthusiasm from customers nationwide, with the creative concept helping to create coverage for a comprehensive PR programme whilst enhancing the brand’s reputation for quality and innovation in the hair and beauty industry.

Conclusion

By staying true to the brand’s ethos and leveraging nature-inspired creative elements, we were able to create a compelling visual identity that elevated the new product and reinforced Sean Taaffe Hair and Beauty’s position as a leader in the industry.
